Steve Pratt is the Chief Operating Officer of Railway Machines at Delta Railroad Services where he oversees the growth and development of the re-manufacturing and manufacturing division along with the growth and productivity of their construction and rental equipment fleet.
As the COO, Steve is focused on strengthening Delta's manufacturing and re-manufacturing processes through industry-grade training, detailed work instructions, and the implementation of ISO standards.
As a result of Steve’s leadership, Delta has significantly enhanced and expanded its customer service, technical support, customer training, and parts support departments. In his 25+ career at Delta, Steve has also supported the equipment re-manufacturing division through procurement, support sales, and job estimating.
Prior to joining Delta, Steve spent over 21 years in the wholesale distribution of plumbing & heating equipment, working his way up from warehouseman, counter sales, inside sales, outside sales, assistant manager and eventually, branch manager.
Steve credits his success to learning from past failures, understanding sales and customer services, and his past experiences focused on training.
Steve lives in Ashtabula, Ohio with his wife Debbie. When he is not working, you can find him enjoying travel, golf, tracking his family fantasy football league, and spending quality time with his six wonderful children (5 boys and 1 girl), two grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
